Thing 14

A mind map is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks, or other items linked to and arranged around a central key word or idea.
The mind map software i tried out was Bubbl.us and it is fairly straight forward and easy to use and edit. I wish I had played with this software for a timeline project I did last year, but I will definitely keep it in mind for future use.
A flowchart is a common type of diagram, that represents an algorithm or process, showing the steps as boxes of various kinds, and their order by connecting these with arrows.
I used Gliffy.com to work with the flowchart software. The Gliffy site looks complex but once you get into it the variety and options become important to create both consistency and contrast in creating designs. You can upload your own images or manipulate the images provided to you so the options are limitless when it comes to the look of a chart you are trying to create. There is also an option to share your chart through your blog which is convenient.. I like Gliffy because of the variety and options provided and would use it if I needed to publish any flowchart.
